Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 896 East 167th Street in Longwood, the Bronx. Located between Kelly Street and Tiffany Street, the lot is three blocks north of the Simpson Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Ardit Dekaj is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 12,294 square feet, with 9,533 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 14 residences, most likely rentals, based on the average unit scope of 680 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 35-foot-long rear yard.
Anthony Cucich is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hmmmm demolition permits have not been filed? They are at least a day away from completing demolition with permits posted. Should I trust reading all the Yimby post from now on?
Are both the two story buildings coming down or only the one on the left? I would think both or this is going to be a very narrow building.
There is Contruction around the corner on Kelly street. They made it with terraces and looks like a condo. I welcome that kind of Contruction design.
Just the building on the left is coming down. The one on the right is a total gut renovation. Both houses were in terrible shape. Yes it will be a narrow build.
I am the owner of the building on the right.
It ain’t coming down as long as I own it.
Peace and Blessings.
Thank you!!!
