Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 44 Elizabeth Street in Chinatown, Manhattan. Located between Canal Street and Hester Street, the lot is two blocks south of the Grand Street subway station, serviced by the B and D trains and four blocks east of the Canal Street station, serviced by the J and Z trains. Heng Sang Realty Corp is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 73-foot-tall development will yield 51,798 square feet, with 28,635 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 37 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 773 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have parking on the cellar and first levels, however it unclear how much space will be allotted.

Bernheimer Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
