Construction is wrapping up on 534 West 29th Street, aka The No. 29 Condominium, a nine-story residential building near the High Line in Chelsea. Designed by Workshop/APD and developed by Blackhouse and Orielis, the 17,000-square-foot structure will contain six units ranging from full-floor homes to duplexes.
Recent photos show the state of work on the building, which is located between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues near Hudson Yards. The building’s glass façade is covered with an irregular pattern of angled metal louvers below the setback on the main northern profile, while the western elevation has a mix of windows and stone panels.
The residences will range from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet and come with 12- to 16-foot-high ceilings. Almost every unit has a private outdoor terrace on the back of the building facing south. The penthouse features a private rooftop terrace and a pool.
The closest subway is the 7 train, located four blocks to the north between 35 and 50 Hudson Yards. The Shoppes and Restaurants at Hudson Yards is on the other side of the block to the north, and the High Line can be accessed by the stairs and elevator near the base of 10 Hudson Yards and Mercado Little Spain.
A completion date for 534 West 29th Street hasn’t been announced, but it appears that work could finish sometime before the end of the year.
