Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 29-10 21st Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 29th Avenue and 30th Avenue, the interior lot is closest to the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Harjinder Singh of Pawar Builders LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 26,332 square feet, with 19,850 square feet designated for residential space and 3,103 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 708 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard.
M.S. Savani Architect, PC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March for the two-story mixed-use building. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
