Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1194 Bedford Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Putnam Avenue and Jefferson Avenue, the interior lot is four blocks from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the C train. Israel Zajgarten of Spencer Developers Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 68-foot-tall development will yield 11,250 square feet, with 9,908 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 16 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 619 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Mohmed Mabrouk of MHM Engineering PC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

It is good for some of us (me) to be reminded occasionally that Bedford Ave goes past ‘fancy-ass’ Williamsburg, and into some of the ‘fancy-ass’ neighborhoods of the future.
why are they shoving so many buildings in Bedstuy.??? No parking anymore.
What some call the future is seen as the destruction of a historically Black vibrant community into a sterile culture void soulless lifeless gentrified wasteland. Long live DO OR Die Bed-Stuy…
