The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1255 Bedford Avenue, a six-story residential building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The 8,219-square-foot development is designed by LND Architects and yields 12 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are two units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,429 to $139,620.
Amenities include an elevator, a shared laundry room, bike storage lockers, and a rooftop terrace. Residences will have dishwashers in unit, video intercom, and either a patio or balcony. Tenants are responsible for electricity and gas including stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two one-bedrooms with a $2,200 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $139,620.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 1, 2021.
