Renderings from StudiosC reveal updated façade and interiors at 1010 Pacific Street, a forthcoming residential building in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The new development will comprise around 170,000 square feet, with 118,000 square feet designated for residential space. The residential component will be divided into 175 rental homes.
From developer Naresh Mahangu of NY Building Associates, the site is located on a large interior lot between Grand and Classon Avenues. J. Frankl Associates served as architect of record. StudiosC oversaw design of the façade, interior look and feel, and the rooftop amenity space.
As described by StudiosC, the design team drew inspiration from the juxtaposition of the area’s historic brick row homes and the defunct industrial warehouses that straddle the development site. As illustrated in the new renderings, this translates to a mixed-material façade comprising red brick masonry, dark gray metal cladding, a floor-to-ceiling punched window system, and an arched throughway that stretches from the main pedestrian entryway through the center of the building like a recommissioned tunnel.
The interiors reflect this same concept with wood and marble accents throughout, exposed columns, and multiple residential common areas. The roof will support a landscaped terrace with ample seating, water features, and uninterrupted views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines.
The project is expected to debut in spring 2023.
