The affordable housing lottery has launched for 937 Rogers Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Sandor Orling Architect and developed by Bernard Schwimmer, the structure yields 32 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are eight units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $67,200 to $167,570.
Units come equipped with energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, air conditioning, and intercom devices. Residents will have access to a virtual doorman, common area Wi-Fi, a shared laundry room, gym, package lockers, personal storage, bike storage, assigned parking, and green spaces including a rooftop terrace. Tenants will be responsible for electricity.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two one-bedroom units with a monthly rent ranging of $1,960 for incomes ranging from $67,200 to $139,620 and six two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $2,180 for incomes ranging from $74,743 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 12, 2021.
