The affordable housing lottery has launched for 378 Weirfield Street, a five-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by The Horizon Group, the structure yields 39 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 12 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $61,715 to $187,330.
Amenities include dog-friendly policies, a dog park and dog washing station, assigned parking spaces, virtual doorman, green space including a rooftop terrace, recycling center, package lockers, gym and yoga studio, common area Wi-Fi, bike storage, and a playground. Units come equipped with name-brand appliances, countertops, and finishes, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, dishwashers, washers and dryers, and either a patio or balcony.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $1,800 for incomes ranging from $61,715 to $138,840; three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,100 for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $156,130; and six two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,400 for incomes ranging from $82,286 to $187,330.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 19, 2022.
