New renderings have been released for 126 East 57th Street, a 28-story residential tower on Billionaires’ Row in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by MRR Development under the MRR 1326 LLC, the 346-foot-tall tower will yield 147 condominiums spread across 170,000 square feet with interiors by Gabellini Sheppard, as well as 5,000 square feet of retail space. WSP USA is the engineer, and Plaza Buildings is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 56th Street and Lexington Avenue.
Our last construction update from three weeks ago showed excavation beginning on the plot.
“This building brings a human scale, playfulness, and visual interest to this upscale corridor of 57th Street,” said Eran Chen, founder and executive director of ODA. “As New York City slowly transforms Midtown East to a residential destination, we strive to offer a contemporary outlook for the taste makers and young professional buyers who value high design.”
Residents will enter the property through a six-story, mirrored copper-framed atrium with views of the landscaped interior courtyard. A secondary entrance will be positioned within a porte cochere along East 56th Street.
Nearly all of the homes will feature private outdoor terraces, which are scattered across the cubic setbacks of the massing in typical ODA style. Below are two new renderings of the middle levels looking north up Lexington Avenue, offering a better perspective of the living spaces.
Residential amenities are planned to occupy two below-grade levels and include an exercise room, a sports court, an indoor swimming pool, and a sauna and steam room. On the second floor will be a private lounge and kitchen connected to a furnished courtyard with an outdoor children’s playground, a communal greenhouse, and an outdoor cinema amphitheater overlooking the main entrance. The 11th floor will feature a 3,350-square-foot party room with a prep kitchen and a covered terrace with a bar and private cabanas.
The 28th and final floor will house penthouse units with access to private rooftop terraces via individual interior staircases. A separate communal rooftop will also offer seating and a grilling station.
The development is located two blocks south of the 59 Street-Lexington Avenue subway station, serviced by the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, and W trains. A completion date for 126 East 57th Street has yet to be announced.

The last rendering here by Brick Visual is set in a fog?..that’s um, interesting.
ODA’s great, and do a fantastic job of being creative constrained by NYC absurd zoning and costs. I wish we could get more of the style they do in Europe, but an NYC developer would NEVER put out that kind of cash.
Residential amenities are benefit for purchase, that planned to occupy two below-grade levels. Renderings on street level I think the building with private rooftop terraces, it can view wider than lower floors: Thanks to Michael Young.
This is nonsense as the building itself is on the NW corner of 56th Street and Lexington, not 57th. Real New Yorkers don’t like the address sleight-of-hand trend. “Billionaires Row Light.”
I guess 57th street sounds better than “Midtown”.
Is “playfulness” really desirable in a high rise building?
Looks like if you push one condo IN, another one pops OUT?! 🤔
Therefore, I dubb thee the
“Innie & Outee”! 🤗
Very reminiscent of HABITAT 67 in Montréal. This will be a nice new option for buyers who want something a little different in Midtown East.
I like it.
It’s very contemporary and elegant. I’m kind of liking it.
I absolutely love the atrium entrance, but the rest of the building is silly.
