438 East 12th Street [EV Grieve]: Originally filed in 2013, developer Douglas Steiner has updated plans for a seven-story, 82-unit condo building at the vacant parcel spanning 436-438 East 12th and 433-437 East 11th streets, in the East Village. An affiliate of Perkins Eastman is designing, and the site’s four-story predecessor was demolished in 2013.
353 Broadway [The Real Deal]: Toll Brothers City Living has acquired the development assemblage spanning 351-357 Broadway, in Tribeca, where two low-rise structures currently sit. Plans include a 19-story, 98-unit condominium project measuring 193,000 square feet.
162-57 Rockaway Boulevard [Commercial Observer]: The NYC Economic Development Corp. is searching “for a developer to purchase a fee interest or a long-term lease” at the vacant seven-acre site spanning 162-57 – 162-99 Rockaway Boulevard, in Springfield Gardens. An industrial or commercial development “could be ideal.”
Hayes Park East [NJ Advanced Media]: Dubbed Hayes Park East, “construction could begin as early as next month” on an indoor soccer field, outdoor football field, and additional park space in East Ferry, Newark. Z-Tech Contracting is developing, and the project will soon go before the city council.
44-46 Purves Street [The Court Square Blog]: Demolition is currently underway to remove the two-story building spanning 44-46 Purves Street, in Long Island City. The property was acquired for nearly $4.14 million last year, and no plans have been filed with the DOB for a new structure.
80-25 126th Street [Queens Courier]: Located at 80-25 126th Street, in Kew Gardens, demolition of an existing four-level parking garage is set to begin “later this year,” where a replacement garage is expected “to be completed in 2017.”
