Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1359 Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Lenox Road and Linden Boulevard, the lot is three blocks north of the Church Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Solomon Schwimmer of Twin Group Associates Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 43-foot-tall development will yield 11,153 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 17 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 656 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permit calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
