Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story mixed-use building at 102-06 37th Avenue in Corona, Queens. Located between 102nd Street and 103rd Street, the interior lot is within walking distance of the 103rd Street-Corona Plaza subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Victor Calle is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 43-foot-tall development will yield 4,570 square feet, with 3,968 square feet designated for residential space and 601 square feet for commercial space. The building will have six residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 661 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 57-foot-long rear yard.
Madriaga Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permit calls for a horizontal and vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
