Permits have been filed to convert a one-story commercial structure into a five-story mixed-use building at 97 Walworth Street in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Park Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, the lot is near the Flushing Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Mordechai Retek under the Jacob Hart LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 62-foot-tall development will yield 9,646 square feet, with 5,000 square feet designated for commercial space and 4,646 square feet for community facility space. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 10 enclosed parking spaces.
Amr Ouda is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical and horizontal expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
