Developers Fetner Properties and Lions Group celebrated the topping out of Italic, a 50-story residential skyscraper at 26-32 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects, the 526-foot-tall structure will span 384,043 square feet and yield 363 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 109 units allocated toward affordable housing, as well as 19,923 square feet of commercial space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Dutch Kills Street and Purves Street.
In addition to reaching the pinnacle, crews have steadily worked to install the glass curtain wall since our last update in October, when the reflective panels had just begun to cover the lower floors of the podium.
Amenities will include a communal lounge, a gym, a two-bay golf simulator, a basketball court, coworking spaces, and an outdoor rooftop terrace.
Renderings show the podium clad in a metal mesh screen and reflective floor-to-ceiling glass and topped with a landscaped terrace. Above, the tower rises with a uniform glass curtain wall up to the crown, which appears to be enclosed in gray metal paneling.
Construction on 26-32 Jackson Avenue is expected to be completed in 2025.
