The affordable housing lottery has launched for 491 Evergreen Avenue, a four-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Amr Ouda and developed by Sasha Mehdyzadeh under the Silverrock Development LLC, the structure yields ten residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $80,572 to $198,250.
Amenities include a rooftop terrace, backyard, package lockers, storage, pet-friendly policies, and bike storage lockers. All units are equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, washers and dryers, patios or balconies, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes heat and hot water, and gas, which includes gas stove.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,350 for incomes ranging from $80,572 to $165,230, and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,630 for incomes ranging from $90,172 to $198,250.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 19, 2024.
