Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 28-08 21st Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 28th and 29th Avenues, the lot is near the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Jinjie Wu is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 17,096 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 25 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 683 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and five open parking spaces.
Ameriland Brook is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in December 2023 for the two-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
