Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 5 Stuyvesant Place in St. George, Staten Island. Located between Bay Street and Nick LaPorte Place, the lot is within walking distance of the St. George subway station and St. George ferry terminal. Robert Michaeli of Brooklyn B Company Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 46,912 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 74 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 633 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have two cellar levels and 37 enclosed parking spaces.
Issac & Stern Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Is this a new vanity address? Stuyvesant Place address numbers ascend north to south, so 5 should be at the north end of the street between Richmond Terrace and Hamilton Ave.
DOB website says the address was “FORMALLY 160 RICHMOND TERRACE”
160 richmond terrace is wrong. thats another building under construction across from the ballpark.
in potentially much bigger news nearby to the east on bay street we have several new teardowns and lot clearings of connected properties of various owners, so something major is clearly underway there too.
As far as I can tell, this is a photo of the front lawn of the Carnegie era NY Public Library. I seriously doubt that it has now become a development site. Somebody should check this photo.
