The affordable housing lottery has launched for Elmcor Permanent Supportive Residences, a seven-story mixed-use building at 104-10 Northern Boulevard in Corona, Queens. Designed by Monica Lopez Architect and developed by Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, the structure yields 30 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are nine units for residents at 40 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $74,580.

Applicants will need to qualify for Section 8. Eligible residents will pay 30 percent of the income of the household. Households with at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older at the time of the application, and who meet the income and household size requirements will be eligible. All utilities are included in the monthly rent.
At 40 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $49,720. At 60 percent of the AMI, there are eight studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $74,580.
Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 21, 2024.
