Permits have been filed to expand a one-story structure into a four-story residential building at 193 Withers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street, the lot is near the Graham Avenue subway station, served by the L train. Mendel Fleischman of Berkowits Realty LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 6,635 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 663 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 20-foot-long rear yard.
Baobab Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
