Permits have been filed to horizontally expand a two-story building at 1433 Nelson Avenue in Mount Eden, The Bronx. Located between West 172nd Street and Edward L. Grant Highway, the lot is within walking distance of the Mt. Eden Avenue subway station, served by the 4 train. Ascher Berkowitz of Big Dream Developers LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 25-foot-tall development will yield 9,497 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 24 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 395 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a basement and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Leandro Nil Dickson Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
