Construction nears completion on 77 Gerry Street, a five-story residential building in the Broadway Triangle section of South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Studio Gallos for Congregation Divrei Yoel, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 37,183 square feet and yield 14 units with an average scope of 1,877 square feet, as well as a 10,904-square-foot community facility on levels one through three. The formerly vacant property is situated on an interior lot between Throop and Harrison Avenues.
Recent photographs show the steel-framed superstructure almost fully enclosed in its dark gray façade of thin brick with a vertically oriented bond pattern. The lower levels feature a mix of tall arched windows and strips of floor-to-ceiling glass with gold-hued mullions. Above, the building sets back from the street with an expansive terrace lined with gold railings, followed by a stepped massing culminating in an elevator bulkhead along the northeastern lot line wall. The sidewalks and ground floor remain obscured behind wooden fencing with sections of the exterior and front doors awaiting installation.
Homes at 77 Gerry Street will likely be condominium units, given the figures provided in zoning diagrams that show residential space ranging from 1,680 square feet on level three, to as much as 7,109 square feet on level four. The latter is likely comprised of multiple units. The property will offer three outdoor terraces.
The nearest subways from the site are the J, M, and Z trains at the Lorimer Street station to the north over Broadway and the G train at the Flushing Avenue station to the southwest along Marcy Avenue.
An anticipated completion date of June 2024 is posted on site, but YIMBY expects the revised target to be around the end of the year.

Bizarre.
That gold rail.
Very……. Beograd?
The window bars on the neighboring building seem rather ominous.
Thats a big thing with Orthodox buildings.
A small castle that is mysterious and worth searching for, but the risk can be reduced with golden bars: Thanks.
