Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 157 Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Sterling Place and St Johns Place, the lot is near the Nostrand Avenue subway station, served by the 3 train. Oren Hakim is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 4,010 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have five residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 802 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 48-foot-long rear yard.
Wu Woody Chen of Infocus Design and Planning is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical and horizontal expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
