Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 2105 Tillotson Avenue in Eastchester, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of Tillotson Avenue and Wright Avenue, the corner lot is near the Baychester Avenue subway station, served by the 5 train. Tucker Shane is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 41-foot-tall development will yield 21,680 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 32 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 677 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have eight open parking spaces.

Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

There are some errors with this article, I live around the block from this awful street. Here are some details!

The neighborhood is Baychester, not Eastchester.
2105 is a residential address. It looks like they mean the unfinished homes under construction across the street from it. That site has been abandoned since 2021 when construction just stopped.

This avenue is full of empty lots and a huge lot owned by the DOT. Google map it. There is little sidewalk space so you have to walk in the street avoiding cars and trucks coming from both directions. This stretch of the avenue has a lot of potential if it was fully developed.

  2. I prefer the greenery. Much healthier for the neighborhood.

  4. I do like this natural woodland area, but if the first comment is correct, perhaps the construction is happening near this photoed vacant lot, but not specifically on this pictured lot🤔🤷‍♂️🌳🌲🌳🌳🌳🌲🌳🌲, trees make urban density way more livable, hopefully any nice sized trees can stay, & new ones planted around the perimeter of the new bldg, 32 new units 👍, kewl
