901 49th Street [Wall Street Journal]: Maimonides Medical Center “broke ground last week” on a planned seven-story, 140,000 square-foot medical building spanning 901-915 49th Street, in western Borough Park. Six two-story medical-office buildings were demolished to make-way for the $100 million facility.

1460 Broadway [Real Estate Weekly]: Himmel + Meringoff and The Swig Company are planning the renovation and repositioning of the 16-story commercial building at 1460 Broadway, in Midtown. MdeAS Architects is designing, and construction of the office floors “is scheduled to begin in April 2015.”

8 Vanderbilt Avenue [Brownstoner]: Renderings have surfaced of the 12-story, 99-unit affordable residential building — dubbed Navy Green — in northern Clinton Hill. Dunn Development’s building is likely topped-out, given the structure was half-way up last Fall. Twenty-three single-family homes are planned in the next phase.

420 Tompkins Avenue [Brownstoner]: Demolition of the former two-story structure at 420 Tompkins Avenue, in southwestern Bed-Stuy, is complete. In its place, CS Management will build a six-story, 44-unit residential building. Charles Mallea is designing, and completion is expected in early 2016.

Hunter’s Point South [Curbed]: Related has completed Buildings A + B of the Hunter’s Point South development, located on Long Island City’s waterfront. Phase one of the development includes 925 affordable residential units.

City Point [Curbed]: Phase 2 of Downtown Brooklyn’s City Point — 30- and 19-story mixed-use buildings, measuring 225,000 and 335,000 square feet respectively — is nearing exterior completion. Cladding has quickly risen skyward, and completion is expected between late 2015 and early 2016.
