Ahead of a vote that would allow casinos to operate in northern New Jersey, Paul Fireman is refining plans for a casino project, dubbed Liberty Rising, and located at 100 Caven Point Road, directly north of his golf course in southern Jersey City. According to The Wall Street Journal, a 90-story, 1,500-key luxury hotel is in the works, which would include a slew of restaurants and a theater.
The $4 billion complex would have ferry service to New York City, and the plan no longer includes a Ferris wheel or racetrack. If built, the tower would fill a partially excavated hole currently serving as the parking lot for the golf course.
