Jewel Saeed, operating under an LLC, has filed applications for a seven-story, 46-unit mixed-use building at 26-02 4th Street, on Hallets Point, a piece of land poking out into the East River in Astoria. In the 42,340 square-foot building, the first two floors will house a healthcare facility measuring 10,435 square feet. The residential units, averaging 695 square feet, will spread across the upper five floors.
A three-story building must first be demolished. The building was formerly a factory before its residential conversion in 1995, now housing 13 units of supportive housing. Gerald Caliendo is the architect of record.
