345-353 State Street [Brownstoner]: Construction of seven neo-Georgian-style townhouses at 345-353 State Street in Boerum Hill has progressed quickly over the winter, and the buildings are now receiving windows. Designed by Marvel Architects, the development fills a large gap in the street wall, but will stay true to the neighborhood’s predominantly ‘walk-up’ character. Construction should wrap up shortly.
87-10 Northern Boulevard [DNAinfo New York]: A large retail building is under construction between 87th and 88th Streets on Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights. Denny’s is expecting to anchor the two-story building, and completion is likely in 2015.
305 East 51st Street [The Real Deal]: After years of delay and revision, The Halcyon, in Midtown East, has topped out at 33 floors. SLCE Architects have designed the “glass and bronze window wall and limestone base” of the 123-unit residential building. As for the interior, S. Russell Groves plans to incorporate “sophisticated material and luxurious finishes”.
529 Broadway [Arch Paper]: BKSK Architects have designed a 34,000 square-foot building cladded “in a warm, cream-colored, open-joint terra cotta,” and glass and metal façade at 529 Broadway in SoHo. The building is expected to take 18 months to build once demolition begins. The team is currently working on construction documents for the project.
588 Myrtle Avenue [Clinton Hill]: An 11,442 square-foot, 16-unit residential building is rising at 588 Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill. The developer is using steel-frame construction to build their De-Jan Lu designed project. A rendering posted on-site reveals a boxy and angular low-rise.
