28 & 7‘s reinforced concrete superstructure is nearing the halfway mark at 322-326 Seventh Avenue, in Chelsea. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Klövern and GDS Development, the 12-story class-A office building has made swift progress since YIMBY’s last visit in November, when excavation and piling work had only recently begun. Triton Construction is in charge of building the structure, which is located at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 28th Street.

Excavation and piling work is starting up for 322-326 Seventh Avenue, aka “28 & 7“, a 12-story class A office building designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill. An excavator is positioned on the northern corner of the Chelsea property along with a pile of stacked hollow metal pilings. Klövern and GDS Development are the developers of the project, while Triton Construction is building the structure.
Klövern and GDS Development recently broke ground on a new Manhattan boutique office project in Chelsea, called 28 & 7. Skidmore Owings & Merrill is the designer of the 12-story, class A office structure, which is located at 322-326 Seventh Avenue and is one of three properties that the two developers are working together on in New York City. Klövern is aiming to bring a more Scandinavian-inspired approach to the office market with higher sustainability standards and a more “human-scaled” design approach.
