Now, the reinforced concrete superstructure is topped-out, and will soon be home to Zurich-based Hauser & Wirth, which is also the developer of the project. The building, designed by Annabelle Selldorf, is located between Tenth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue in West Chelsea, and stands 95 feet tall.

Now the London-based art seller has filed plans for its new five-story building between 10th and 11th Avenues.
When it comes to sweeping and far-reaching change, few areas have transformed as rapidly as West Chelsea. But while condo-fication is normally associated with displacement of galleries, that is not the case here, and now demolition applications have been filed for an old building at 542 West 22nd Street, which will be cleared to make way for a new outpost by Hauser & Wirth.
