Turken House Nears Pinnacle at 300 East 41st Street in Murray Hill, Manhattan

Construction is nearing topping out on Turken House, a 21-story mixed-use building at 300 East 41st Street in the Midtown, Manhattan neighborhood of Murray Hill. Designed by Perkins + Will for a non-profit company called The Turken Foundation, the nearly 80,000-square-foot structure will stand 227 feet tall and provide Turkish students with 82 turnkey residences, both single- and double-occupancy quarters, and help with scholarships and job opportunities in the United States. 300 East 41st Street is located at the corner of East 41st Street and Second Avenue, near both the United Nations and Grand Central Terminal, and was previously occupied by two low-rise properties that were purchased for a combined $17.5 million.

Exterior work is nearing completion on the Innolabs life science facility at 45-18 Court Square in Long Island CityQueens. Designed by Perkins + Will and developed by King Street Properties, Newmark Knight Frank, and GFP Real Estate, the project involves a ground-up six-story addition in multiple wings and the rehabilitation of the central building. The property is located just south of Jackson Avenue between Court Square West and Pearson Street, and is a short walk from the Court Square subway station, servicing the 7, E, and G trains.

Boutique Office Building Will Rise at 799 Broadway in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

At the intersection of Broadway and East 11th Street andon the edge of Greenwich Village, a new boutique office will soon rise at 799 Broadway thanks to a $70 million purchase by Columbia Property Trust, according to Crain’s. Columbia received a nearly 50% stake in the sale, and will join co-owner Normandy Real Estate Partners. The current structure today will eventually be demolished to make way for the new glass building that will span around 180,000 square feet, and stand 12 stories tall.
