Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1283 Ocean Avenue in Flatbush-Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. The site is five blocks away from the Avenue H subway station serviced by the Q trains, and ten blocks away from the Flatbush Avenue subway station, end of the line for 2 and 5 trains and center of a substantial commercial intersection. Vision Developers LLC is responsible for the development.

An anonymous LLC has filed permits for a three-story house in Jamaica Estates, Queens. The lot is a mile and a half away from the Hollis train station, serviced by the Long Island Railroad’s Hempstead and Oyster Bay lines. Jamaica Estates is an upper-middle-class neighborhood known for having expensive detached single-family homes with unique architectural styles, surrounded by trees.
Property owner Vincent Cangialosi has filed applications for two three-story, multi-family residential buildings at 59-35 Menahan Street, in Ridgewood, eight blocks north of the M train’s Forest Avenue stop. A smaller six-unit building had been filed in January, but those plans now appear outdated. The latest filings call for six residential units — three in each building — spread across a total of 13,630 square feet, for very spacious units averaging 2,270 square feet. Salvatore Prainito’s Astoria-based Prainito Design Group is the applicant of record, and the site’s two-story home was filed for demolition earlier this month.
