Today YIMBY has the first renderings for 15 Somers Street, a six-story residential building designed by Feingold and Gregory Architects. The depiction shows a façade with warehouse-style windows and light beige brick. An ivy-covered wall protects five parking spaces on the first floor. The traditional style will match the pre-war brick row houses on both sides of the new development.

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 325 Gates Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station serviced by the G train, and eight blocks away from the Franklin Avenue station, serviced by the A and C trains. It is nearby the Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn Campus, which could mean it will be marketed towards college students or recent graduates. Renaissance Realty Group is developing.

The developer for the project, at 1618 Fulton Street, is Brooklyn-based FAC Fulton Street Housing Development Fund Corporation. The site is just two blocks away from the Kingston-Throops Ave station for the A and C train, as well as one block away from Fulton Park, a block-long green space with its own dog park.

A development site in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood saw permits filed back in 2015 for a vertical and horizontal addition, at 523 Willoughby Avenue. Since then, the neighboring building has also met the wrecking ball, and the latest new building applications show a “major alteration” will result in a completely new structure, which YIMBY can reveal today.
