Fisher Brothers this week announced an agreement with the Blue Bottle Coffee café chain to lease ground-floor space in 1345 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown. Under the 15-year lease, Blue Bottle will encompass 953 square feet of retail space at the base of the tower beginning in Q4 2019.
Tickets are now on sale to visit “Edge” at Hudson Yards, the tallest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. The observatory is perched 1,131 feet above ground and protrudes from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards.
Cravath, Swaine & Moore, one of the country’s longest-running law firms, has finalized negotiations to establish its New York headquarters at Brookfield’s Two Manhattan West. As anchor tenant of the property, Cravath will occupy 13 floors of the building or approximately 481,000 square feet.
The Pendry Manhattan West Hotel has topped out above the expansive new Manhattan West complex adjacent to Hudson Yards. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, the building features a distinctive fluted glass façade on its northern and southern elevations, an interesting departure from the boxy and angular style of the megaliths that permeate this area of Manhattan. The hotel’s official address is 4 Manhattan West and is expected to debut in 2021.
On September 19, Covenant House broke ground on its first supportive housing development in 47 years. Located at 460 West 41st Street in Midtown West, the 80,000-square-foot facility is designed by FXCollaborative. According to permits filed last year, the structure will stand 164 feet tall and contain 80,290 square feet, with 53,053 square feet dedicated to community facility space. The building should also comprise 60 units averaging approximately 884 square feet.
