The Halo, at 289-301 Washington Street, could eventually be one of the tallest and most influential developments completed in downtown Newark, New Jersey. The proposed structure would replace an existing private parking garage.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 83-12 Broadway in Elmhurst, Queens. The site is three blocks from the Elmhurst Avenue subway station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Howard C. Haider Jr., trustee of the Haider Family Trust, will be responsible for the development.
Located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Prospect Lefferts Gardens to the east of Prospect Park will be a new four-story residential project at 143 Winthrop Street. Permits were filed earlier this week that call for a new ground-up structure with a basement level and a total of 10 units built within masonry walls. The designer is Palette Architecture, while the developer is Navin Ramsumdar of N&N Consulting Corp.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 1617 Brooklyn Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site is eight blocks from the Flatbush Avenue subway station, end of the line for 2 and 5 trains, and center for a significant commercial district. Jacob Leifer is behind the applications.
The sun is shining brightly on the brand new façade of 111 Leroy Street. Major progress has been made since YIMBY last looked, as the townhouse and condo complex finally have their skin. The project is bringing nine condos and five modern townhouses to the area. This will further expand the West Village’s classic low-rise and high-end housing closer to the water. Workshop/APD Architect is responsible for the design.
