New renderings for the project have since appeared, giving a substantially better view of what the classically-minded new development will look like, and the pace of construction has also picked up, as per the latest photos from Chused.
Two Trees Management Company has announced plans to build a full-sized supermarket in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, at 66 Front Street, between Washington Street and Main Street. The developers are repurposing the existing single-story parking garage on site as the structure for the grocery store, which will be dubbed DUMBO Market.
Ground was broken at 2865 Creston Avenue yesterday to mark the beginning of construction on Bedford Green House, a 13-story supportive and affordable housing project in The Bronx’s Bedford Park neighborhood. The development is expected to cost $58.8 million, with almost half financed by the New York City Housing Development Corporation, HDC, under their Extremely Low- and Low-Income Affordability (ELLA) program.
Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a ten-story mixed-use building at 651 Fourth Avenue, in South Slope, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Prospect Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the D, N, R, and W trains. Across the street from the lot is the Al-Noor School, a private K-12 school of Islamic affiliations, serving 650 enrolled students. Greenwood Cemetery is also nearby, and Prospect Park is about a mile away.
Permits have been filed for three mixed-use buildings at 909, 911, and 913 Pierce Avenue, in The Bronx’s Morris Park neighborhood. The lot is currently being used for parking. The location is a mile’s walk from the Bronx Park East Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Bronx-based Parubi Enterprises will be responsible for the development.
