YIMBY took an exclusive tour of the top floors of Central Park Tower, a 131-story supertall at 217 West 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan and holder of the titles of tallest residential building in the world and tallest structure in New York by roof height. Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill and developed by Extell, the 1,550-foot Billionaires’ Row skyscraper yields 179 condominiums designed by Rottet Studio and marketed by Corcoran Sunshine, as well as a 320,000-square-foot, seven-story Nordstrom retail podium bound by West 57th and West 58th Streets and Broadway and Seventh Avenue.

122 Fifth Avenue’s Expansion Tops Out in Union Square, Manhattan

YIMBY attended a topping-out ceremony for 122 Fifth Avenue, a 11-story commercial building expansion in Union Square. Designed by STUDIOS Architecture and developed by Bromley Companies, the 300,000-square-foot project involves the erection of a one-story steel-framed addition above the parapet of the landmarked building, as well as the construction of a reinforced concrete annex that will expand the property’s T-shaped footprint along West 17th Street. Microsoft has signed on as the anchor tenant for the office space, and athleisure company Allbirds will occupy the retail space. Omnibuld is the general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan property.

YIMBY Scopes Views From Flatiron House at 39 West 23rd Street in Flatiron District, Manhattan

YIMBY went on a tour of Flatiron House, a two-tower residential development at 39 West 23rd Street in the Flatiron District. Designed by COOKFOX Architects for NYC-based real estate development firm Anbau Enterprises, the structure will yield 44 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. The taller portion of Flatiron House is called the Tower and features 37 one- to four-bedroom homes with an entrance on West 23rd Street, while the shorter annex is dubbed the Loft and comes with seven one- to five-bedroom residences and its own entrance to the north on 24th Street. Ryder Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

YIMBY Scopes Views from ODA’s 208 Delancey Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

YIMBY took a construction tour of 208 Delancey Street, a 12-story condominium building that topped out on Manhattan’s Lower East Side late last year. Designed by ODA New York and developed by New Empire Corporation, the L-shaped 85,000-square-foot reinforced concrete superstructure will yield 85 units at the corner of Pitt and Delancey Streets. Compass is handling sales and marketing for the condominiums, which range from studios to three-bedroom floor plans. Prices range from $625,000 for a studio to $2.655 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse unit. ASH NYC curated and staged a pair of model homes for the property.
