Five-Story, Nine-Unit Residential Building Planned At 532 Lorimer Street, Williamsburg

Han Soon Yom, doing business as a Fort Lee, New Jersey-based LLC, has filed applications for a five-story, nine-unit residential building at 532 Lorimer Street, in central Williamsburg. That’s two blocks south of the Lorimer Street stop on the L train. The project will measure 9,983 square feet in total, which means units will average 1,109 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. Anthony Morena’s Midtown-based MORTAR Arch + Dev is the architect of record. The site is currently occupied by two three-story townhouses, and permits were filed for their removal earlier this month.

Excavation Underway For Nine-Story, 175-Key Hoxton Hotel At 97 Wythe Avenue, Williamsburg

Over the summer, YIMBY brought you renderings of the planned nine-story, 175-key Hoxton Hotel at 97 Wythe Avenue, in northern Williamsburg, and now excavation is well underway, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports. Sydell Group is developing the 59,910 square-foot hotel, which will feature restaurants on the second floor and the roof. Perkins Eastman is designing the building.

Reveal For Six-Story, 10-Unit Mixed-Use Building At 349 Kent Avenue, Williamsburg

Earlier this year, YIMBY reported on filings for a six-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at 349 Kent Avenue, in western Williamsburg, located a block in from the East River. Brooklyn-based Workshop Design + Architecture has released renderings of the project, which will measure 15,300 square feet in total, although 8,723 square feet will count towards zoning. Two retail units will split 923 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, and the residential units above will average 780 square feet apiece. Eugene Buchinger, operating as an anonymous LLC, is the developer. The site’s former two-story building was demolished earlier this year, and now that permits are approved, excavation is likely imminent.
