2183 3rd Avenue [Curbed]: Sharon Kahren and Haim Levi are developing a 12-story, 59-unit rental building measuring 64,000 square feet at the vacant lot of 2183 3rd Avenue, in East Harlem. Excavation is currently underway, and completion is expected “early next year.”
YIMBY has the first look for a Karl Fischer project coming to 1060 Bedford Avenue in Bed Stuy, which will result in a five-story condo building with retail that will replace a car repair shop. Permits were filed back in September to build on the site, a 7,500-square-foot corner lot that fronts Clifton Place and Bedford and sits only a block from the Bedford-Nostrand G train station.

The new Census estimates show New York City’s population swelling to 8,491,079 people, a 52,700-person increase from the 2013 estimates (which were also revised upwards, or the increase would have been an even larger 85,242 people). Those numbers are up from a 2010 Census baseline of 8,175,133 people.
