Construction Update: 1715 Broadway Gets Glass! & 250 West 55th, 237 West 54th

Glass has finally appeared on 1715 Broadway. The building is roughly halfway to its top, so the delay in glass isn’t particularly unusual, but it’s good to finally get a look at the cladding.

250 West 55th is either topped-out or two floors from topping-out, as well. The pace of construction there has been extremely rapid.

The union rat has also re-appeared in front of 237 West 54th, where workers on the site are extremely paranoid of picture-taking. They should be grateful anyone is taking interest in a project that’s going to be the least photogenic thing rising in the city, courtesy of Gene Kaufman (although his Holiday Inn project downtown is an equal contender for ugliest new project).
