This rendering shows the New York skyline in 2020. The effect of the new projects either proposed or under construction is quite dramatic, with four new towers of 1,000 feet or more sprouting south of Central Park. Even 1715 Broadway makes an impact, although it will only be 750 feet tall. Most exciting should be 225 West 57th, as Gary Barnett has tentatively chosen Herzog & de Meuron as the architects for a tower that will rise 1,250 feet or higher.
Skyscraperpage user sbarn’s photoshop skills were also featured in the Observer, for another view of the future skyline.
