432 Park Avenue continues its ascent, rising one to two floors per week – though that does not sound significant, the floor-to-ceiling heights are enormous, and the difference between this week’s photos and last week’s update is slight, but noticeable. The tower – New York’s future tallest – has passed the 300′ mark, though it remains below Midtown Manhattan’s skyscraper plateau.
Besides continued work on the superstructure – which has gone three months since the last on-site accident – there has been no major progress, and only the first few windows have been installed.
Though not construction-related, there has been a change to the tower’s signage along 57th Street, which now displays renderings of the future giant, looming over the New York skyline – the images include the new World Trade Center and nearby competitor One57, and are also on 432 Park’s official website. New Yorkers may ignore the renderings, but the tower’s rapid rise means it will begin commanding pedestrian attention rather soon, and 432 Park will soon be the tallest building on the block.
