3 West 29th Street [Curbed]: Interior demolition of the Bancroft Building, at 3 West 29th Street, is currently underway; completion is expected “within six to eight months.” HFZ Capital’s plans for the site remain vague, but it has air rights totaling 350,000 square feet.

500 Exterior Street [Welcome2TheBronx]: Work has begun on a 12-story hotel building within the Lower Concourse Rezoning District at 500 Exterior Street, in Mott Haven. Development of the Harlem River, even outside of the rezoned district, holds great potential; under-utilized land is being snapped up borough-wide. The influx of other hotel developments in the South Bronx should allow for further growth.

11 North Moore Street [The Real Deal]: Designed by Adjmi & Andreoli and developed by VE Equities, 11 North Moore Street in Tribeca will soon offer 18 expansive units, “ranging from a 1,900 square-foot three-bedroom apartment to one of 4,900 square-feet with a private swimming pool.” At ten stories tall, 11 North Moore spans the block, and the façade will be “pale cast concrete,” effortlessly conforming to its Tribeca surrounds.

237 Park Avenue [Commercial Observer]: 237 Park Avenue in Midtown East is receiving a $100 million renovation “to highlight the full potential of the 60,000 square-foot floor plates.” Renderings reveal a Class A office building that will be inviting and open, articulated with columns, glass, and raised ceilings.

164 Attorney Street [Bowery Boogie]: The decrepit Three Amigo Auto Repair at 164 Attorney Street in the Lower East Side is being demolished to make way for a seven-story residential building. Approved permits specify that the building will hold 22 apartment units within “18,154 of residential square-footage.” Newman Design is the architect of record.

880 Macon Street [Brownstoner]: Plans have been filed for 880-882 Macon Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, revealing a “four-story, eight-unit apartment house [with] large double-glazed windows.”

991 Willoughby Avenue [Brownstoner]: Construction has progressed quickly at the “ten-story, 36-unit apartment building” at 991 Willoughby Avenue in Bushwick. Steel framing has reached the top floor of the Nataliya Donskoy-designed building.

76 East Houston Street [Bowery Boogie]: A sideway shed has been erected at 76 East Houston in NoHo, that signals construction of a two-story building is imminent. The new structure will “carry 2,928 square-feet of commercial space.”
