Brownstoner spotted renderings posted on-site at 59-63 North 6th Street, in Williamsburg, where a single-story, 7,500 square-foot commercial building is planned, and was filed with the DOB last November. The development site is vacant, and excavators are on site, so completion can be expected by 2016 if work begins imminently. Flushing-based Victor K. Han is designing.

I wonder why the developer didn’t try to get a residential component here? Was there an attempt at rezoning or something along these lines? It seems like many more dollars could have been made.
