Since being two stories up in January, the 10-story, 79-unit residential project under development at 41-29 24th Street, in the Queens Plaza section of Long Island City, has topped out. A picture of the construction site has been posted on The Court Square Blog. Dubbed Packard Square West, the new building will encompass 73,571 square feet. Its residential units should average 849 square feet apiece, which means the apartments could either be rentals or condominiums. Amenities include an 11-car garage in the cellar, bike storage, laundry facilities, a fitness center, a rooftop lounge & terrace, and a 5,150-square-foot side yard. Ciampa Organization is the developer and Fresh Meadows-based Fakler, Eliason & Porcelli is the architect. Completion can probably be expected by the end of the year.
