The six-story, 93-unit residential project planned at 440-446 Whiton Street, located on the corner of Ash Street in the Bergen-Lafayette section of Jersey City, has been granted a 20-year tax abatement, Jersey Digs reported. The project was approved by the Jersey City Planning Board earlier this year. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with completion scheduled in early 2018. It’s unclear if the apartments will be rentals or condominiums, although a 74-car parking garage is included. Ash Urban Redevelopment is developing, though the vacant site’s architect and design have not yet been revealed.
