Only a portion of the former five-story commercial building’s steel skeleton remains at the site of a planned 11-story, 137,081-square-foot commercial building at 510 West 22nd Street, located along the High Line in West Chelsea. The steel beams will be incorporated into the new building, which means the project is technically an expansion. Excavation work is currently taking place elsewhere on the property, as seen in the latest from Tectonic.
Besides the lobby, there will be retail space on the ground and second floors, followed by office space on the third through 11th floors. The Albanese Organization is the developer and COOKFOX Architects is designing the 147-foot-tall structure. YIMBY revealed new renderings of the building back in February.
