An anonymous LLC has filed permits for an eight-story residential building in Harlem. The location will be about a block away from the 135th Street Station on Malcolm X Boulevard, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains, right next to Harlem’s NYC Health + Hospital facilities. The 135th Street Station on Saint Nicholas Avenue is two blocks farther, serviced by the A, B, and C trains.

The 75-foot tall structure will yield a total 23,000 square feet, providing 20,000 square feet for residential use, and 3,000 square feet for community facilities. A total 29 units will be created, with an average size of 690 square feet, suggesting rentals. The community facility will be for medical use, possibly for the nearby hospital.

Greenpoint-based J. Frankl + C. Mallea will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not been filed, and an estimated completion date has not been announced.

    I don’t worry about completion.

  2. There is ABSOLUTELY NO #5 train service at 135th street awn Lenox Ave (Malcolm X Blvd) never has, never will be.
For many many years (decades in fact) the three contiguous brownstones were utilized as a funeral parlor. It sits on the same block as the Public Library and Harlem Hospital is across the street at the corner. Has YIMBY considered using actual writers who actually who actually live in the area there re reporting and can truthfully say “Yes, this is my backyard” Because its mine and Im available!

  3. Who lives there the “Hulk” ?
