Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a six-story residential building at 6 Havemeyer Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The development will be situated in the heart the neighborhood. McCarren Park is five blocks away, and the Brooklyn waterfront is also six avenues away. In terms of transit, the Metropolitan Avenue Subway Station is five blocks away, and the Bedford Avenue Subway Station is also only seven blocks away, with both stations serviced by the L train.
The 68-foot tall structure will yield 14,500 square feet of total construction area, with 9,045 square feet dedicated to residential use. 13 apartments will be created, averaging 1,115 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums. The site will include parking for seven vehicles, a lobby, storage for seven bicycles, and open-air terraces on the second floor and rooftop.
Wieslawa E. Jasiulewicz Architect will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits were filed earlier this year, and an estimated completion date has not been announced. Just last week, YIMBY reported on permits for a new building one block away at 20 Havemeyer Street.
