Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a 17-story office building at 710 3rd Avenue, on the corner of 45th Street and 3rd Avenue, in Midtown East, Manhattan. The development will stand four blocks away from the main entrance to Grand Central Train Station, serviced by the 4, 5, 6, 7, and Shuttle trains, along with all lines on the Metro-North railroad.
The 198-foot tall building will yield 35,590 square feet of space, all of which will be office. There will be a lobby and below-level building storage.
There had been some previous activity on the site, with a proposal submitted back in 2013 for a hotel building designed by Gene Kaufman. In this most recent permit, Demmerle Design Studio has taken over as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in early 2015. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
